Remeeeeeee

REMEE is a Danish music producer and songwriter. He was responsible for many catchy pop hits of the late 90's and early 2000's.

Do you remember the sister-duo in the late 90's called S.O.A.P. ?
They were two Danish sisters that were most famous for their hit single written by Remee called "This is how we Party".....see below!

They supported Savage Garden on their European Tour in 2000, and have also toured with The Backstreet Boys in the US of A.

They released a song called Live Forever.......listen below! It rules.

Remee also wrote Jamelia's hit from the year 2003 titled "Superstar"....see below....

AND..........what you probably didn't know, that the hit song released by Australian musician RHYS titled "Hot Summer" was also written by Remee.

Further more, the track was originally released in Germany by female pop-band-sensation "Monrose" (see below)

Rhys' version sounds exactly the same, except for the male vocals.

REMEE RULES!

Delightful and curious treats

I work at "The Artisan Guild and Curiosity Shop" on Oxford Street.

We sell lots of crafty bits and pieces from local designers including Marsu Homme, Elke Kramer, 2 by Lyn&Tony, Matt Weston, Make Believe, St Augustine Academy, Emily Valentine and my label All Of Our Lives.

The bits and pieces are nestled in large glass cabinets amongst rare and curious hand selected vintage and antique pieces.

On the walls hang taxidermy animal heads, murdered/framed butterflies and beautiful b&w etchings.

I have a few favourite designers that are stocked at the store.....

1) Make Believe
These lovely girls (my "sisters") make wondrous floral necklaces and brooches out of hand-made fabric flowers that have been dipped in coloured resin. Their jewellery was featured on the runway in the RAFW09 Antipodium show (see image below)

2) 2 by Lyn & Tony

This Sydney-based duo is extremely talented. They're actually photographers, that woke up one morning and decided to become accessory designers. They incorporate a lot of leather into their pieces, as well as lush cottons and Italian mohair (see below)

3) Emily Valentine

This lady is crazy. Seriously, a crazy old lady. Emily Valentine is responsible for the deaths of a lot of animals.

From her website i quote:
"Over the last ten years I have developed my own technique and style using feathers from road kill, cat kill and dead pets. Recently I have moved into a new source of feathers. I have been trapping and killing the registered pest, the Indian Mynah bird"

This woman is gutless. A gutless, creative genius (see Mynah Bird Bra below)

Well, these are my treats from me to you for tonight.

I'll give you fireworks.....

I've put a lot of thought into this whole idea of blogging...

Initially i had concluded that blogs were for failed journalists, stylists & "fashionistas" that had been rejected from the world of fashion early on in their "careers", stay-at-home-mums, pedophiles (oh no that's myspace....) and nerds.

Did you know that Madonna was a blogger until July 9 2008?
http://madonnablog.wordpress.com/

I realized that blogs weren't for low lifes with extra minutes to spare. Many people keep diaries......i guess a blog is an online diary......that everyone can read.

So here is my contribution, to the world of internet blogging.

When me and my sisters were younger, we were huge fans of 90's all-girl trio TLC (RIP Left Eye). Our favourite song was Waterfalls. We loved it so much that we knew EVERY lyric......

"DON'T GO JAYSON WATERFALLS, PLEASE STICK TO THE RIVERS AND THE LAKES THAT YOU'RE USED TO......."

Okay, so we made one lyrical fuck-up, but come on - "chasing" does sound like "Jayson" right?

So anyway i guess what i'm trying to say is.......My name's not Jayson Waterfalls.

But this is my blog.
